Sewing Workshop "Soho Coat"
This coat is made from a bonded polyester fabric that I got from Vogue Fabrics' mail-order club. The black inside layer is similar to neoprene, and it's bonded to a gray heather (the outside layer) that feels more like wool than polyester. The beauty of it being polyester is that I threw the whole coat in the washing machine, and it came out wonderful. I used a black polyester ribbon with white polka dots for the strap on the buckle and stitched it to the outside for a little decoration. The slide buckle, which I got from M&J Trimmings in NYC, is black plastic and silver metal.
